讲座内容：探讨人口老龄化中出现的贫困与劳动力参与的关系。正确处理这个关系必须同时解决两个问题：一是劳动力参与和贫困之间的内生性， 二是数据结构的多层性。论文提出并强调了利用混合模型的必要性和优点。我们发现在埃及，老龄人口的劳动力参与会显著减少老龄贫困。

主讲人：Dr Hui Li

Dr Hui Li completed a PhD in Economics and Econometrics at the University of New Mexico in USA in 2003. She worked as a senior statistician at New Mexico State government and associate professor at Eastern Illinois University US before 2010. Her research is to apply the statistical methods to some real world problems such as environmental and energy economics, development and ageing issues, and financial economics related topics.  She is also interested in using survey methods to understand public opinions, and explore policy implications.
